In his work, Iván Saldaña invites the spectator to navigate through the endless number of emotions that human beings go through when, out of necessity, they decide to interiorize in the search for change. In his representation, he manifests a constant duality between reality and fantasy, order and chaos, the earthly and the celestial. These dichotomies refer to this struggle that man faces during the process of transformation. The warm tones that are presented in most of the pieces could be associated as this earthly part that is life, reality, the known. The context that makes him realize that he is part of a whole and that he is there, which allows him to know that he exists. The color blue in key elements could symbolize the fantasy, the spiritual, the intangible, the faith, the inexplicable force that emerges from within to save itself and be reborn.
Through the ideas that his work transmits, he suggests a reflection on the existential uncertainty of the human being in the world that he himself has created and that he perceives through his conscience. He proposes to interpret them according to his experiences, which are a component of his understanding of reality.
