History behind the artwork

The angels were released

This piece is part of a vast collection that Abel created as a way to evoke the elements of nature, making a mixture of spiritual symbols of pre-Hispanic thought and the Hispanic concept of angels.

For the artist, the rituals and the closeness to his roots are of utmost importance; In particular, this piece deals with an earthly angel who protects land animals and the earth itself.

In these pieces, Abel extracts the characters from his paintings and revives them with color, giving a sculpture context in a very pictorial way.

The technique used is polychrome resin with acrylics. The edition is limited to 20 pieces, this being number 3.
