Artist’s information
Melva Medina is an artist, graduated from the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” of the National Institute of Fine Arts. He studied a master’s degree in engraving at the San Carlos Academy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She specializes in sculpture, drawing and graphic techniques such as lithography and engraving.
Her work has been exhibited in different museums and galleries around the world, and is collected nationally and internationally, such as Mexico, USA, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, India and Canada.
Currently she lives in the city of Merida, Yucatan, in Mexico, participating in an integral way in the cultural movements of the State.
She runs her own gallery “Nahualli, Casa de los Artistas”, exhibiting her most recent work, along with her family Abel Vázquez, Aura Meztli and Alma Citlalli.
Nahualli Gallery is a reference in the artistic world due to the prestige of its artists, as well as for the innovation in the search of solutions that marks trend in the cultural management of México.
