History behind the artwork

Great expectations from parents towards their children, the extremes in education.

This painting tells us about the desire to leave a legacy of our desires for our children, imposing our criteria and tastes in their formation.

Here we can identify a chain of imposition from generation to generation, represented by the imposition of learning an instrument placed on the head of the subjects to be educated. If we look closely, we realize that the educator also carries the “imposition” in his head because he was once educated.

This painting is an example of the masterful achievement of the use of sands and powdered pigments, to give textures and chromatic shades, enriched with the use of acrylic paints.
