History behind the artwork

Inspired by cacti and their wild thorns, Abel makes a collection of charcoal drawings where he addresses the theme of eroticism. The artist shows us in these works a deep study of light and shadow.

For Abel, this type of plant comes to have an erotic symbolism, because many seem to have phallic forms.
