History behind the artwork

This piece pays homage to the Master Francisco Toledo.

Abel, like many other artists, recognizes the master as the great “Tatich” (father/ the first one) of contemporary painting.

He admires his extraordinary value as a caring human being, always integrating and collaborating with the community.

The usage of eroticism and the integration of scorpions, are symbols of reference  the important character of Mexican art and his work.
