History behind the artwork
In botany, a stipule is an outgrowth borne on either side (sometimes just one side) of the base of a leafstalk.
The stipules within the development of the plants, gave a result in the composition and title of this work. Those small protuberances that will give life to new shoots, were an important symbol with an erotic treatment to be part of his collection of charcoals on paper of 2005.
